The next issue of Studies in the History of Gardens & Designed Landscapes includes an article written by our researcher Rodrigo de la O. It is entitled ‘Kinaesthetic delight’: Cedric Price’s plan for the Abu Dhabi Sea Garden, 1973.

This article analyses the project developed by the British architect Cedric Price in 1973 for the construction of a breakwater along the coast of Abu Dhabi. This was a landscape project framed within the context of concern about environmental issues that characterised the 1960s and 1970s.
Price proposes the implementation of an environmental experience through a programme that promotes alternative ways of perceiving the landscape. The study is illustrated using primary sources from Canadian Center for Architecture (CCA).

The article is now available on line. Print version is expected for the next month.
