This project examines the heritage value of the dams of El Villar (1879), Puentes Viejas (1939), Riosequillo (1958) and Pinilla (1967) not only in terms of the active role they play in Madrid’s water supply system, but also as built elements. This pilot study serves as the basis for analysing the built elements of Canal de Isabel II as cultural heritage.
