Ana Belén Berrocal

Ana Belén Berrocal holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and is Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at the ETSIC-UPM. She has a Master Degree in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development and a Specialist Degree on Geographical Information Systems (GIS) applied to environmental management, both at the University of Valencia. She also teaches at the ISEAD Business School. She is member of the College of Civil Engineers of Spain’s board.

Amongst her investigations, the project “Sonido Verde Urbano” (urban Green Sound) is of paramount importance, funded by the MAPFRE Foundation. In 2013 she carried out a research at the Capilano Business School at Capilano University (Canada).

Her scientific production is focused on environmental engineering, rural development and historical heritage. She is the co-author of “Guía de vegetación para ambientes urbanos” together with Rafael Mata and Pedro Molina. Her articles have been published in many magazines such as Landscape Research, Terra Plural, Estudios Geográficos and Polígonos: Revista de geografía.
