Cecilia Arnaiz Schmitz is an Economist and PhD in Ecology. Her main line of research analyzes human-nature interaction and its different manifestations on cultural landscapes. Currently, she is a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the Cultural Landscapes Research Group.
In 2016 she obtained a Research Personnel Training (FPI) contract from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, through a competitive call, attached to the “R&D Excellence” project of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness financed by the European Social Fund at the Autonomous University of Madrid. In 2019 she obtained a Postdoctoral (postdoctoral contract period, POP) of 12 months, linked to this same project.
Her results have been published in international journals with a high impact index, indexed in the Journal of Citation Report (JCR), such as –Land Degradation and Development, Landscape Ecology, Science of the Total Environment, Ecosystem Services, Sustainability, Environmental Conservation and Urban Ecosystems, – among others.
