Lucía Jalón Oyarzun is an Architect and she has a Master in Advanced Architectural Design by the ETSAM. She is developing her PhD research entitled ‘What a body can do: the political as generator of a common spatiality’ at the Department of Architectural Design of the ETSAM. She obtained a doctoral position funded by the UPM between 2011 and 2015 through.
She was Visiting Scholar at the Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, GSAPP (EEUU) between 2013 and 2014. She also was Visiting Scholar at the Architectural Association London in 2013.
She coordinated the Master in Advanced Architectural Design between 2008 and 2014 and the research line in which she is specialized: ‘Landscape Architecture and Urbanism’. She contributes to this research line through the subjects ‘Landscape Laboratory’ and ‘Workshop’. Within the Degree Program she collaborated with the Darío Gazapo Teaching Unit until 2013.
Her articles have been published in magazines such as PLAT, Arquine, or Inflection– Journal of the Melbourne School of Design. Since 2013 she has been the founder and Chief Editor of the publishing project ]d[isplacements.
