Diego Toribio

Diego Toribio is an architect from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a predoctoral fellow at the GIPC. His final thesis entitled “Les Promenades de Paris: Alphand and the creation of a Medium Landscape” was his first contact with research and was recognized with honors in January 2022 and with the End of Degree Award at the XVI Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BEAU) in 2023.

His collaboration with the Cultural Landscape Research Group (GIPC) began thanks to two collaboration grants in successive courses: 2020/21 (UPM) and 2021/22 (Ministry of Education). Since 2023 he has been working on his doctoral thesis and continues to participate in tasks related to various research projects. He has been an intern at the architectural firm Moneo Brock during the competition for the renovation of the port of Sanxenxo and other projects under implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean (year 2019).
